Puppy Socialization

For puppies 8 - 16 weeks of age.

This Puppy Socialization Class is appropriate for puppies under the age of 4 months. Your puppy should be between 8 weeks and 12 weeks when they attend the first class. Age exceptions may be made for toy or mini breeds, but is up to the discretion of the instructor. Puppies should have received their first set of vaccinations at least 7-10 days before participating in class. We DO NOT recommend waiting until after your puppy has received their full series of puppy vaccines, as they are usually over when the dog is 4-5 months old. Puppies have a critical socialization period that closes ~4 months of age, where it is imperative that we gently and safely expose them to the world, showing them all the things they may experience in life! Our positive reinforcement classes focus on using food, toys, and play to bring out the best in your dogs. We will cover age appropriate obedience training, exposure to novel objects, confidence building, puppy size agility, people walking with umbrellas, baby strollers and more!

Class Length: 6 Weeks

Class Cost: $180 + tax

Class Size: 5-6 puppies

Please note that these classes are NOT appropriate for dogs with aggression or reactivity issues. Please contact one of our trainers to discuss training options for these behaviours.

COVID CONSIDERATIONS:

- We are also limiting class attendees to one human per puppy for the time being. You may alternate which family member brings the puppy each week, but only one person per week may come.
